Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy describes how Nacelle accesses, uses, stores, and shares information when its owner uses Nacelle and authorizes connections to third-party services. Nacelle is currently a private personal intelligence and automation system, not a public consumer service.

2. Data we process

Depending on the features the owner enables, Nacelle may process information supplied directly through conversations or files; project and task information; application and integration metadata; and information retrieved from services the owner explicitly connects.

Nacelle is designed to process only information reasonably needed to provide enabled functionality. The exact data available to Nacelle depends on the permissions granted to each connected service.

3. Google user data

When the owner authorizes a Google connection, Nacelle may access Google user data within the scopes granted during OAuth authorization. Depending on enabled features, this can include Gmail messages and metadata, Google Calendar events, Google Contacts information, and information or actions made available by compatible Google Home services.

Nacelle uses Google user data to provide owner-requested personal assistance and automation—for example, finding and understanding relevant email, coordinating calendar information, resolving contact context, and reading or acting on authorized home information. Nacelle does not use Google user data for advertising, ad targeting, sale, or profiling for third parties.

Google API data. Nacelle's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements where applicable.

4. How information is used

Nacelle may use authorized information to answer the owner's requests, retrieve relevant context, coordinate tasks and agents, prepare or perform explicitly permitted automations, maintain system state and durable context, troubleshoot integrations, protect the system, and improve the owner's private Nacelle configuration.

Automated processing, including AI-model processing, may be used when necessary to provide these functions. Nacelle does not permit Google user data to be used to train generalized advertising profiles or sold as a data product.

5. Storage and security

Information may be stored in systems controlled or selected by the owner, including Nacelle infrastructure and configured service providers. Nacelle is designed to use access controls, encrypted network transport, credential protections, and scoped authorization appropriate to the service being accessed. OAuth credentials and tokens are treated as sensitive credentials and are not intentionally exposed through this public website.

No system can guarantee absolute security. Access should be revoked and credentials rotated if compromise is suspected.

6. Sharing and service providers

Nacelle does not sell personal information or Google user data. Information may be processed by infrastructure, AI, storage, or integration providers only as needed to operate owner-enabled functionality, or disclosed when required by law. Connected services may process data under their own terms and privacy policies.

Nacelle does not share Google user data with independent third parties for advertising, marketing, or data brokerage.

7. Retention and deletion

Information is retained only for as long as it remains useful for the enabled Nacelle functionality, operational continuity, security, or applicable legal obligations. Because Nacelle is a personal system, retention may differ by data type: transient processing can be short-lived while deliberately preserved context, records, or artifacts may be retained until the owner deletes or replaces them.

The owner may revoke Google's access at any time through Google Account permissions. Requests concerning deletion of data stored by Nacelle can be sent to the contact address below. Revoking a connection prevents future API access but does not itself necessarily delete data previously and deliberately stored by the owner in Nacelle or another owner-controlled system.

8. Your choices and controls

  • Grant only the Google permissions shown during authorization that you choose to allow.
  • Revoke Nacelle's Google access through your Google Account at any time.
  • Disable individual Nacelle integrations or automations.
  • Request correction or deletion of Nacelle-held personal information by contacting the address below.

9. Changes to this policy

This policy may change as Nacelle's integrations and architecture evolve. Material changes to how Google user data is accessed, used, stored, or shared will be reflected here, and the effective date above will be updated.
